RIDGELAND, Miss., Aug. 20, 2012 - HORNE LLP, one of the top

advisory firms in the nation, announced today the five
finalists in its "$50,000 for 50 Years"
charity donation contest. Finalists will participate in an
online vote set to open Aug. 27. The
finalists are: the American Cancer Society, Mid-South
Division Inc.; The Exchange Club - Carl
Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse;
Friends of Children’s Hospital; The Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society and Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The contest is part of HORNE's year-long celebration to
honor its 50th anniversary. Developed as a way to honor the
firm’s team members by supporting the causes they care most
about, HORNE’s $50,000 for 50 Years program serves to bring
awareness to the charities that. HORNE team members believe
in and support.
HORNE employees nominated more than 30 nonprofit
organizations that met a pre-established
set of criteria, including alignment with the firm’s
mission, "Creating value, making a difference."
The online vote is open to the public and will run from
Aug. 27-Sept. 26. The winner of the online vote will be
announced on October 1, HORNE's 50th anniversary, and
receive a check from HORNE in the amount of $50,000. To
